Dr. Kapusta is an esteemed figure, serving as the director of the Rice Energy and Environment Initiative. With a distinguished career at Shell, he has gained expertise in various aspects of the oil and gas industry and held the prestigious role of chief scientist within the Royal Dutch Shell group of companies.

During his time at Shell, Dr. Kapusta played a pivotal role in advising senior management on science and engineering matters that significantly impact the industry.
