Energy, Dialogue & Connection: A Milestone Day for Argentina–Texas CollaborationAt the Argentina–Texas Chamber of Commerce, we proudly hosted two flagship events in Houston: the Bilateral Energy Summit and the Pre-OTC International Cocktail. With over 500 attendees and representatives from more than 200 U.S. companies, the day showcased the strength and potential of the energy relationship between Argentina and Texas. The Summit featured four key sessions that brought together top voices from the public and private sectors. We opened with a high-level dialogue between political leaders from both countries, featuring Federico Veller (National Government of Argentina), Ruth Hughs (Kelly Hart) and Jim Wright (Railroad Commission of Texas) , moderated by Barbara D’Amato (Texas Board of Economic Incentives Oversight). After the first session, a panel took place featuring the governors of Neuquén and Mendoza, Rolando Figueroa and Alfredo Cornejo. Moderated by Daniel Leppert (Rystad Energy), the discussion focused on regional strategies for energy development. Industry leaders then explored opportunities and challenges across Argentina’s value chain in a panel discussion with Marcelo Gioffré (Pan American Energy), Pablo Zelerteins (Pluspetrol), and Guillermo Murphy (Tecpetrol) , moderated by Ariel Bosio (ATCC). The session led into a powerful closing keynote by Horacio Daniel Marín, President & CEO of YPF, who shared the private sector’s vision for Argentina’s energy future. Throughout the day, attendees engaged in strategic conversations on investment, innovation, and long-term collaboration. The announcement of our upcoming trade mission to PBIOS in Midland marked a new chapter in bilateral business development. We ended the day with the Pre-OTC International Cocktail at the Petroleum Club of Houston, where leaders from across the industry came together for meaningful networking in a dynamic setting. Thank you to our speakers, partners, and sponsors for making this day a success — and to everyone who joined us in person or via livestream. Together, we are building the future of energy. |
