Midland Edition of Bridging Argentina & Texas: A Week of Learning and Connection

From October 20 to 23, the Argentina Texas Chamber of Commerce (ATCC), co-organized with the Agencia Argentina de Inversiones y Comercio Internacional and the Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC), successfully carried out the Midland Edition of the Bridging Argentina & Texas Trade Mission — the second phase of this year’s double trade mission, following the Argentina Edition held in Buenos Aires in September.

This new chapter took place in the heart of the Permian Basin, one of the most dynamic energy regions in the world, and brought together executives, government officials, and industry leaders from both Argentina and Texas to continue strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in the energy sector.

The program began with a Private Briefing Session: “Permian Basin Overview”, hosted by GD Energy Products, where participants received a comprehensive outlook on the region’s production, regulatory, and workforce landscape. The session featured insightful presentations by Ernesto Diaz (Rystad Energy), Nikki Morris (Texas Christian University), and Willie Taylor (Workforce Solutions Permian Basin Organization).

That evening, the Chamber hosted an exclusive Seminar & Cocktail at the Petroleum Club of Midland. The evening reflected the spirit of cooperation, innovation, and shared vision that defines the Bridging Argentina & Texas initiative. The mission agenda continued with the Permian Basin International Oil Show (PBIOS), where ATCC was present with its booth, shared with the Agencia Argentina de Inversiones y Comercio Internacional, promoting Argentina’s energy potential and creating valuable networking opportunities with global industry players.

In parallel, participants joined technical visits to leading companies in the region. At Double Eagle Energy, they had the opportunity to witness six wells in simultaneous frac — an impressive display of technology and efficiency that offered a glimpse into the future possibilities for Vaca Muerta. The group also visited Nomad Proppant, where they explored the company’s sand treatment and logistics operations, gaining firsthand insight into one of the key services supporting the efficiency and reliability of hydraulic fracturing. The delegation also toured another regional operator to further broaden their understanding of local operations.

The Bridging Argentina & Texas trade mission represented a milestone for ATCC’s ongoing effort to connect both markets through knowledge, innovation, and collaboration. Across these two missions, more than 100 executives and officials participated in activities designed to strengthen institutional ties, foster investment opportunities, and showcase Argentina’s growing energy potential.

By bridging perspectives from Buenos Aires to Midland, the Chamber reaffirmed its role as a key facilitator of dialogue between both regions — helping to position Argentina as a reliable partner for energy development and reinforcing the shared vision of sustainable growth that unites Argentina and Texas.
